A Little Bit of Everything

Noah Pine ‘19 was one of six students in his high school graduating class. When it came time to choose a college, Pine says a low faculty-to-student ratio was of the utmost importance. Fast forward three years and, as of this spring, Pine is a SUNY Cobleskill alumnus, earning his Bachelor’s in Business Administration, with a Minor in Entrepreneurship.

Pine has returned home to join his family’s business, Pine’s Country Store/True Value Hardware, in Indian Lake, New York. He plans to eventually take over the business from his father, who took over from his grandfather. “We have everything,” says Pine, “from bird seed, to pots and pans, to plumbing, to clothing. Our motto is ‘a little bit of everything.’”

Just as was the case in high school, Pine was hard to miss at the 2019 Commencement, as members of the Pine family held up cardboard cut-outs of Noah’s face. Commencement at SUNY Cobleskill showcases our vast offerings.
