Through agreements with a group of area school districts, SUNY Cobleskill is now participating in Ag-PTECH – a program that puts approximately 50 well-qualified, highly motivated high school students from those districts on an accelerated track to a college degree.
Standing for “Agriculture Pathways in Technology Early College High School,” Ag-PTECH allows the students to take college-level, creditbearing courses throughout their four years in high school. When they have successfully completed their coursework these young people become qualified for admittance to SUNY Cobleskill, where they will be placed in the associate degree program that corresponds to their field of interest. In many cases, they will be able to earn this degree in just one year.
